Role Overview

This hands-on installation role puts you at customer locations, positioning, connecting, and testing internet-related equipment so each setup is safe, functional, and ready for use. You also act as the customer's main point of contact during the visit, explaining how the equipment works and how to maintain it. Your attention to safety and detail helps the company deliver dependable service and avoid unnecessary follow-up visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Sync with dispatch to lock in daily appointments, routes, and any schedule updates.
• Keep required identification, safety gear, and courtesy items on you throughout every shift.
• Run tests on electrical components, routers, and service systems to confirm they work correctly and safely.
• Move, stage, remove, and install materials inside customer homes or businesses, including in cramped spaces and varied weather.
• Lead, align, and supervise other installers when a job requires more than one set of hands.
• Walk customers through features and benefits, and suggest add-on products that fit what they need.
• Check the work quality and performance of sub-contractors operating within your assigned infrastructure boundaries.
• Keep installation tools and equipment organized and safe to use, and help with parts, shipping, receiving, inventory, and customer paperwork when needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least a high school diploma, with a certificate or diploma required for the role; trade school or technical training is an added advantage.
• Prior hands-on experience installing and adjusting internet equipment—routers, cabling, and electrical systems—is preferred.
• Comfort testing electrical equipment and confirming that it operates safely.
• Skill in diagnosing and resolving router and service system issues.
• Working understanding of installation tools, electrical safety practices, and routine maintenance procedures.
• Physical stamina to crawl into tight spaces, work in all climates, and handle demanding installation conditions.
