Job Description

Role Overview

This position provides specialized technical support to advance the United Nations system-wide accountability frameworks for gender equality, primarily the UN-SWAP and its complement, the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard. The role involves coordinating inter-agency efforts, monitoring progress, and developing knowledge resources to strengthen gender mainstreaming across the UN system. By driving these accountability mechanisms, the incumbent helps ensure that gender equality commitments translate into concrete policies, practices, and resource allocations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute technically to the implementation and coherence of UN-SWAP, UNCT-SWAP, and related frameworks, ensuring synergies with the Secretary-General's Gender Equality Acceleration Plan.
