A growing educational institution in Dubai is currently seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Secondary to join its leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious educational leader to play a key role in the expansion and development of the school’s Secondary phase as it continues to grow from a well-established and successful Primary division.
The school is looking for a passionate and forward-thinking professional who can lead academic excellence, strengthen teaching and learning practices, and help shape a thriving Secondary School community from an early stage of development.
This role is ideal for experienced Heads of Secondary as well as current Deputy Heads of Secondary who are ready to advance into a senior leadership role within a dynamic and expanding school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the Secondary School division
• Drive academic excellence by implementing high standards in teaching, learning, and student achievement
• Support the school’s expansion plans and contribute to the successful growth of the Secondary phase
• Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing school culture
• Inspire and mentor teaching staff while promoting professional development and collaboration
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community
• Oversee curriculum planning, academic performance, and student progress monitoring
• Ensure compliance with KHDA requirements and UAE educational standards
• Participate in school inspections, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to support the school’s vision and long-term goals
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Previous leadership experience within Secondary education in Dubai
• Strong understanding of KHDA frameworks, inspections, and UAE educational standards
• Academic background in core Secondary subjects such as Mathematics, English, or Science
• Proven experience in leading Teaching & Learning initiatives and improving academic outcomes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire staff, students, and parents
• Passion for building and shaping a growing Secondary School community
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities
