A reputable organization operating within the manufacturing and trading sector is seeking an experienced General Accountant – Excise Tax to join its finance team in Dubai. This position is ideal for accounting professionals with strong expertise in UAE taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily accounting activities while ensuring full compliance with UAE Excise Tax and VAT regulations. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain accurate financial records, support audit requirements, and contribute to effective financial control processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Excise Tax regulations, filing requirements, and reporting obligations.
• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintain financial records, account reconciliations, and periodic financial reports.
• Monitor inventory movements and perform warehouse reconciliation activities.
• Support Federal Tax Authority (FTA) audits and compliance-related requirements.
• Perform monthly closing procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain proper accounting, tax, and financial documentation.
• Assist management with financial analysis, reporting, and operational insights.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience within the UAE.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with UAE Excise Tax regulations and compliance.
• Experience within the tobacco manufacturing or trading industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements and regulations.
• Experience in inventory accounting and manufacturing accounting processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE Excise Tax and VAT compliance procedures
• Financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
• Inventory management, manufacturing accounting, and FTA regulations
