Position Summary

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated FMCG Sales Representative (Delivery Rider) to spearhead our last-mile distribution pipeline and scale retail market presence. Your primary objective is to manage dedicated geographic routes, actively onboarding new retail shops while ensuring our existing network receives prompt, accurate, and safe product deliveries. This position bridges active route sales with field logistics; you will ride an assigned corporate motorcycle to handle order bookings, execute high-visibility store merchandising, and reconcile daily cash collections. The role calls for a target-driven sales professional with sharp negotiation skills and a flawless riding record who can build lasting merchant relationships under minimal supervision.

Functional Duties

Route Sales & Market Acquisition

  • Execute methodical daily journey plans across assigned territories to hit volume quotas and maximize product distribution footprint.
  • Identify, approach, and recruit fresh retail merchants, mini-supermarkets, and wholesale kiosks into the corporate distribution loop.
  • Pitch seasonal product lines, push volume discounts, and introduce stock promotions to maximize basket size per drop.
  • Monitor competing consumer brand placements, pricing shifts, and new product entrants within the route to provide field intelligence.

Delivery Logistics & Stock Accountability

  • Transport inventory safely via motorcycle, ensuring products are protected against damage, dust, or weather hazards during transit.
  • Verify physical stock batches against invoices or delivery notes before unloading assets at merchant storefronts.
  • Manage customer stock returns, log product variances, and obtain official signatures or mobile stamps as valid proof of delivery.
  • Conduct strict pre-trip safety checks on your assigned motorcycle, keeping the vehicle clean, registered, and completely roadworthy.

Store Merchandising & Customer Care

  • Arrange products prominently at point-of-sale areas, ensuring maximum shelf visibility and alignment with brand placement guidelines.
  • Handle general retailer inquiries, resolve stock delivery friction, and escalate complex merchant complaints to the territory supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional, polite, and service-oriented demeanor to protect customer retention metrics.

Financial Reconciliation & Compliance

  • Collect product payments immediately upon delivery via approved digital channels or cash parameters in strict compliance with credit rules.
  • Reconcile daily financial sales ledgers, pending orders, and actual physical inventory balances during evening depot check-ins.
  • Adhere strictly to national traffic laws, occupational safety codes, and internal corporate compliance standards at all times.

Requirements & Criteria

Technical & Academic Background

  • Academic Foundation: Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a complementary commercial track.
  • Licensing Credentials: Must possess a valid, clean driving license covering Class A (Motorcycle Riding) and Class C (Driving License).
  • Industry Longevity: Minimum of 2 years of active field experience operating as a motorcycle sales representative or route rider within the FMCG sector.
  • Channel Knowledge: Thorough practical understanding of traditional retail markets, wholesale channels, and fast-moving route dynamics.
