Job Description

Role Overview

In this accounting support role, you will maintain accurate financial records for KKCO East Africa LLP and its outsourced clients, using accounting software to record transactions and prepare regular reports. Your work will help keep client accounts current, support timely statutory compliance and provide reliable information for financial decisions and audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and update approved transactions in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or other accounting systems, and maintain complete books of account.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and complete bank reconciliations for review and approval by the 10th of the following month.
  • Support compliance with applicable obligations, including NSSF, NHIF, PAYE and VAT.
  • Manage petty cash and assist with payment and procurement processes in line with the finance manual.
  • Prepare client bills and receipts, update client account records, and maintain asset registers.
  • Check expenditure for accuracy and validity, ensuring supporting documents are complete and properly filed.
  • Prepare ledgers and journals, maintain accounting documents and vouchers, and provide records and assistance for internal and external audits.
  • Respond to client needs and complete assigned accounting work accurately and within deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognised university.
  • CPA or ACCA qualification at Intermediate level.
  • Practical capability with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, handle pressure and deliver results with minimal supervision.
