Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Finance and Operations Assistant to support our client’s finance and operational functions. This role involves handling accounting tasks, supporting compliance, coordinating logistics, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Post transactions in the accounting system accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Instalment Taxes, WHT) via iTax.
  • Manage petty cash and maintain proper records.
  • Monitor and manage debtors, including conducting on-site collections when necessary.
  • Coordinate and follow up with internal auditors.
  • Review travel budgets and verify supporting documentation.
  • Assist with bank correspondences and reconciliations.
  • Handle registration with regulatory bodies (e.g., Pharmacy and Poisons Board).
  • Provide audit support and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with freight agents for clearance and logistics.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and submit tenders accurately and on time.
  • Support daily order processing and banking activities when required.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date company records and filing systems.
  • Conduct stock reconciliations and periodic stock takes.
  • Monitor stock levels and plan to avoid stockouts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA Section 2 in progress is required.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
