Role Overview
You will be the driving force behind acquiring new business within a defined SME territory, selling a portfolio of business connectivity and digital services to mid-sized companies. Day to day, you will prospect leads, conduct in-person meetings, and move opportunities through a structured pipeline, with your performance measured directly against revenue and customer acquisition targets. Your work matters because every new account you bring on board strengthens the company’s footprint in the SME segment and lays the groundwork for long-term recurring revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and closing new SME customers in your assigned region.
- Present and sell business connectivity, communication, and digital solutions tailored to each prospect’s operational needs.
- Own your numbers: meet or exceed monthly targets for revenue, new account acquisition, and product attach rates.
- Schedule and conduct on-site customer visits regularly, keeping a disciplined cadence of follow-ups and proposals.
- Log every interaction, opportunity, and next step in the company’s CRM system so that pipeline visibility stays accurate at all times.
- Submit concise daily reports documenting customer visits, proposals delivered, and fresh leads generated.
- After each customer engagement, send a clear recap note confirming discussion points, agreed actions, and timeline expectations.
- Team up with technical and pre-sales colleagues to design solution packages that actually meet the client’s infrastructure and budget reality.
- Actively participate in sales activation campaigns, marketing-led events, and wider business development initiatives to generate interest and inbound opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on B2B or SME sales experience, ideally within telecommunications, IT services, or technology.
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle independently, from cold outreach to close.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage owners and decision-makers at SME level.
- Comfortable using modern CRM or pipeline management tools to track your work and forecast accurately.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise connectivity, unified communications, cloud, or digital solutions is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent planning and reporting discipline, able to keep your own calendar, territory, and data organized without heavy supervision.
- Resilient, driven, and comfortable working toward aggressive goals in a fast-moving commercial environment.
What We Offer / Why Join
This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who wants to build a serious track record in B2B telecom and technology sales. You will gain direct exposure to senior SME decision-makers, work alongside experienced pre-sales engineers, and develop a transferable skill set in consultative selling. The structure is clear: your activity and results are recognized, and your growth path is tied to the success you deliver in the field.
