AME is looking to hire a Driver who will be responsible for safely transporting company staff, clients, and goods to designated locations while ensuring the vehicle is well‑maintained and operated in compliance with traffic laws. The role requires professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
Safely drive company staff, clients, or goods to assigned destinations.
Plan efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and deliveries.
Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with staff and clients.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights, etc.).
Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and expenses.
Ensure all necessary documents (insurance, logbooks, licenses) are up to date.
Report any accidents, vehicle issues, or delays promptly.
Plan routes in advance and adjust in real time to avoid traffic congestion, roadworks, or delays.
Maintain the vehicle in excellent condition.
Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Minimum KCSE Certificate.
Valid driver’s license (with relevant categories, including B1).
Familiarity with Nairobi and other major towns’ routes.
Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial operations is preferred.
Basic knowledge of safety regulations and material handling procedures.
High level of integrity, responsibility, and adherence to safety standards.
Both men and women may apply, with lady drivers given first priority and male (Muslim) drivers as second priority.
Must be conversant and very familiar with Nairobi roads and superhighways.
Must be flexible to working hours and days, including holidays and weekends.
Must be familiar with Google Maps.
Age between 28–45 years.
Must have proven experience in driving both manual and automatic cars; ladies who only know automatic vehicles should indicate that they are willing and able to learn manual driving.
Required documents: ID, KRA PIN, active driver’s license, and copy of updated good conduct certificate.
