Job Description

Role Overview

This position sits at the intersection of design engineering and quality assurance within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will develop and refine CAD models and engineering drawings for vehicle body structures and components, while also ensuring that every design meets strict safety, durability, and regulatory expectations. Your work directly supports production teams, helps prevent quality issues, and drives continuous improvement in how vehicles are designed, built, and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for vehicle body structures and related components, ensuring designs are suitable for fabrication and final assembly.
  • Prepare and update engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to guide manufacturing, costing, and production planning.
  • Review designs against applicable industry regulations, manufacturer standards, and engineering best practices, making revisions where needed to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with production personnel during implementation to ensure approved designs are correctly applied and to resolve any manufacturing-related design issues.
  • Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection checklists and procedures, while monitoring incoming materials and in-process production quality.
  • Investigate warranty claims and non-conformance reports using root cause analysis, then implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence.
  • Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify technical requirements, communicate design intent, and deliver practical engineering solutions.
  • Support regulatory audits by keeping accurate design and quality records, demonstrating traceability, and ensuring alignment with quality management systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in engineering design, quality assurance, or automotive manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with the ability to produce precise and manufacturable drawings.
  • Experience preparing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production or costing purposes.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and technical documentation practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical teams, production staff, and clients.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.

What We Offer / Why Join

This is an opportunity to take on meaningful design and quality ownership in the automotive industry, where your decisions directly influence vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. You will work alongside experienced engineering and production professionals, applying your skills to real-world challenges while continuously improving both products and processes.
