Role Overview
As a TVET facilitator, you will bridge classroom theory and hands-on practice, guiding learners through competency-based modules that align with national skills standards. Your daily work involves preparing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing practical competence, and maintaining a safe, productive workshop environment. This role is central to producing job-ready graduates who can respond to the labour market’s evolving technical demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured theoretical and practical training sessions in line with approved TVET curricula and assessment standards.
- Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and assessment tools tailored to different learner proficiency levels.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments, recording learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain training equipment, tools, and consumables, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and coach learners individually to address skill gaps and support workplace readiness.
- Collaborate with industry partners to align training content with current occupational practices and emerging technologies.
- Participate in institutional quality assurance activities, student registration, and reporting processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or vocational subject area.
- A valid TVET teaching licence, demonstrating compliance with national vocational education regulations.
- Between 2 and 3 years of hands-on experience working within TVET institutions, including direct teaching or training delivery.
- Strong practical knowledge of competency-based education and assessment methodologies.
- Effective communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt instruction to diverse learners.
- Proven ability to maintain workshop tools and implement safety protocols.
