- Prepare and present product demonstrations, pricing proposals, and supply quotations tailored to each buyer's volume and delivery needs.
- Negotiate commercial terms—including pricing, order quantities, and contract duration—within company guidelines to close profitable deals.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned accounts by conducting regular on-site check-ins to verify stock levels and identify replenishment opportunities.
- Spot upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the detergent range and recommend product bundles that match client consumption patterns.
- Log all client interactions, pending deals, and order history into the CRM system, and maintain a clean, up-to-date sales pipeline.
- Track competitor pricing, promotional tactics, and new product launches in the FMCG market, then share actionable field insights with management.
- Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure accurate order fulfilment, resolve delivery delays, and maintain high service reliability.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of proven B2B sales experience in the FMCG sector, ideally with detergents, household cleaning products, or chemical lines.
- Hands-on experience selling to corporate accounts, institutions, wholesalers, or distributors in the Kenyan market.
- Strong track record of meeting monthly sales targets and negotiating supply contracts with procurement teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with common CRM tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with procurement managers and other decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and resilient, comfortable managing your own field schedule and handling objections during client visits.
