Description:
DTN is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Content Editor to support its growing digital content operations and manage its WordPress-based Ag Hub for Farmers platform. This role is ideal for editorial professionals who have strong writing, editing, and digital publishing skills and are interested in agriculture, business journalism, and market-focused content.
The successful candidate will manage daily content workflows, edit and publish agricultural news, ensure accuracy and clarity of articles, and maintain high editorial standards across digital platforms. This position offers an opportunity to work with a global data and technology company delivering critical insights to agriculture, energy, and weather-driven industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit and publish media content across multiple digital platforms.
• Manage the Ag Hub for Farmers WordPress website, including updating layouts, creating pages, and removing outdated content.
• Review and verify facts included in articles and reports.
• Create accurate and engaging headlines designed to improve readership and search visibility.
• Adapt content according to company editorial standards and target audience requirements.
• Participate in daily editorial meetings to plan content publishing schedules.
• Collaborate with reporters, editors, and content creators to improve published materials.
• Review and edit breaking news, market updates, and technical content within tight deadlines.
Requirements:
• 1–5 years of experience in journalism writing and/or editing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or equivalent qualification.
• Familiarity with content management systems, especially WordPress.
• Experience working with reporters, editors, and other content contributors.
• Understanding of business-to-business journalism or interest in business-focused content.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with urgent news deadlines.
• Strong editing, rewriting, and proofreading skills with attention to accuracy and clarity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with editorial team members.
• Working knowledge of word processing, content management systems, and spreadsheet software.
