Role Overview
You will deliver hands-on technical and vocational instruction to students, bridging classroom theory with practical workplace competence. Day to day, you will prepare lesson plans, facilitate workshops, assess learner progress, and maintain equipment and safety standards. Your work directly supports the institution's mission to produce job-ready graduates with certified, industry-aligned skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons aligned with the national TVET curriculum and assessment standards.
- Conduct competency-based assessments, record learner results, and provide constructive feedback to support individual progress.
- Organise and supervise workshop activities, ensuring that tools, materials, and machines are used safely and maintained correctly.
- Develop learning materials, assignments, and practical projects that reflect current industry practices and workplace scenarios.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, and overall performance, intervening with targeted support when needed.
- Contribute to curriculum reviews, quality assurance meetings, and institutional accreditation processes.
- Liaise with industry partners for work placements, guest lectures, and real-world project collaborations.
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide regular reports to the academic management team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the vocational discipline being taught (e.g., engineering, ICT, business studies, hospitality, or applied sciences).
- A valid TVET teaching licence or equivalent professional certification issued by the relevant national authority.
- 2–3 years of hands-on teaching or training experience within registered TVET institutions.
- Demonstrated ability to use modern instructional technologies and workshop equipment relevant to the subject area.
- Strong communication, classroom-management, and learner-assessment skills, with a commitment to inclusive education.
