Your work will ensure our products are safe, precise, and aligned with our brand's aesthetic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for innovative wooden toys and educational tools.
- Convert design concepts into CNC-ready programs and G-code files using modeling software.
- Set up, calibrate, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture high-precision wood components.
- Prototype new toy designs and refine them based on physical testing and feedback.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to child-safety standards, including smooth edges, appropriate sizing, and the elimination of sharp corners.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to configure machine setups in accordance with design blueprints.
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation and strict version control for all product lines.
- Optimize cutting paths and nesting programs to improve material utilization and minimize production waste.
- Inspect finished components to verify they meet precise dimensions and strict quality standards.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on CNC machinery, including cleaning, calibrating, and sharpening tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or programming errors as they arise to minimize production downtime.
- Follow all workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Ensure all final products align perfectly with Afritoys' established aesthetic and finishing standards.

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Wood Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certification in CNC machining or CAD/CAM programming is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in design and manufacturing software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Aspire (Vectric), and Fusion 360.
- Strong technical understanding of CNC routing, with specific experience working with various wood materials.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in both digital CNC design and physical machine operation.
- Prior experience in wooden product manufacturing, with toy or consumer product manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve machinery and software issues independently.
