A reputed organization in Abu Dhabi is urgently looking to hire an experienced and highly skilled Chief Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with a strong background in accounting operations, financial reporting, and construction or contracting industry experience within the UAE market.
The company is seeking a detail-oriented candidate who can efficiently manage accounting functions, oversee financial activities, and support business operations through accurate reporting and financial management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and management reports accurately and on time
• Monitor company budgets, cash flow, and financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal procedures
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external financial consultants when required
• Supervise accounting staff and maintain proper financial documentation and records
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for business improvement
• Handle project accounting and cost control activities related to construction or contracting operations
• Support senior management with financial planning and strategic decision-making
Candidate Requirements:
• Strong UAE accounting experience is mandatory
• Previous experience in the construction or contracting sector is required
• Professional Accounting License or certification is preferred
• Excellent financial reporting, budgeting, and management skills are essential
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial controls
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications is preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple financial responsibilities effectively
