Job Description

Job Title: Chemistry & Biology Teacher

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated educator to teach Chemistry and Biology across secondary school, including International A Level. The successful candidate will join a dynamic department committed to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemistry and Biology across secondary school, including International A Level.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons aligned with the Pearson Edexcel curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and report student progress using a variety of assessment methods.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Plan and supervise practical laboratory sessions while ensuring compliance with laboratory health and safety procedures.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Integrate educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute actively to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding, child protection, and student wellbeing policies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with Chemistry and Biology, or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Biology with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
  • TSC Registration.
  • Experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and International A Level curriculum (or Cambridge equivalent).
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ successful teaching experience in Chemistry and Biology at A Level.
  • A data-driven approach to improving student achievement.
  • Professional integrity, teamwork, and adaptability.
