Job Title: Chemistry & Biology Teacher
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated educator to teach Chemistry and Biology across secondary school, including International A Level. The successful candidate will join a dynamic department committed to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry and Biology across secondary school, including International A Level.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons aligned with the Pearson Edexcel curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report student progress using a variety of assessment methods.
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Plan and supervise practical laboratory sessions while ensuring compliance with laboratory health and safety procedures.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Integrate educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute actively to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding, child protection, and student wellbeing policies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with Chemistry and Biology, or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Biology with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- TSC Registration.
- Experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and International A Level curriculum (or Cambridge equivalent).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ successful teaching experience in Chemistry and Biology at A Level.
- A data-driven approach to improving student achievement.
- Professional integrity, teamwork, and adaptability.
