Role Overview
This teaching position centres on planning and delivering the Cambridge International Curriculum to learners while embedding the pedagogical principles and assessment standards of Cambridge International Education. You will work closely with the Head of Department, School Principal, and administration team to support each student’s academic progress and personal development, always guided by the values and ethos of the Catholic Church. Day-to-day, you will adapt your teaching to the abilities and learning needs of individual students, maintain a structured and motivating classroom atmosphere, and ensure that every learner is challenged, supported, and encouraged to achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons that follow the Cambridge International Curriculum and meet the educational needs of students at different ability levels.
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that is orderly, focused, and developmentally appropriate, promoting curiosity, joy, and a genuine passion for learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress against academic standards, using feedback and targeted support to help each learner master content and reach their full potential.
- Embed the vision and philosophy of the school into daily practice, fostering positive attitudes and behaviours consistent with Catholic teaching.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Department, Principal, and administration to implement school policies and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Build respectful, constructive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and a professional approach at all times.
- Take responsibility for your own professional growth by engaging in school development activities, training, and reflection on teaching practice.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree in Education or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised for classroom instruction.
- A minimum of three years of experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- A practicing Catholic who embraces and models the teachings of the Catholic Church in both professional conduct and interpersonal relationships.
- Flexibility and openness to change, with the ability to handle uncertainty and complexity confidently.
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills, with a student-centred approach to teaching.
What We Offer / Why Join
This is an opportunity to work in a values-driven Catholic school environment where your teaching makes a direct difference to students' academic and personal growth. You will be part of a collaborative team supported by clear leadership, with remuneration aligned to the school's established salary scale.
