Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer in Abu Dhabi, you will build and operate the infrastructure and delivery processes behind live production systems. Your work will help teams release software reliably by improving CI/CD, automating cloud infrastructure, and strengthening the day-to-day operation of Linux, container, and Kubernetes environments. You will also explore practical ways to apply AI and large language models to DevOps workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across the build, release, and deployment lifecycle for production services.
- Provision and manage infrastructure with Terraform, including reusable modules and reliable remote-state handling.
- Administer Linux systems, Docker workloads, and Kubernetes clusters used by production teams.
- Write Bash and Python scripts to automate recurring operational tasks and reduce manual effort.
- Track deployments and system health, investigate operational issues, and help maintain stable production environments.
- Work closely with development and operations colleagues to make software delivery more dependable.
- Identify and implement useful applications of AI and LLMs in automation, deployment processes, and CI/CD.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least six years of hands-on DevOps experience, including responsibility for live production environments.
- Strong CI/CD expertise, with experience managing end-to-end build, release, and deployment pipelines.
- Production experience with Terraform, including modules, remote state management, and state locking.
- Practical administration experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Confident Bash and/or Python scripting skills for operational automation.
- Experience applying AI or LLM tools to DevOps workflows or automation.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must currently live in the United Arab Emirates and be available to start immediately.
- Experience with Azure or AKS, or in banking, FinTech, or insurance, is an advantage.
