Role Overview
This teaching position centres on delivering the Cambridge International Curriculum within a Catholic school environment, where academic excellence and faith formation go hand in hand. You will plan and deliver lessons that meet the learning needs of each student, while supporting the school’s ethos and values in every interaction. Working closely with the Head of Department, Principal, and administration, you will help create a classroom atmosphere where students feel challenged, supported, and motivated to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum, adapting content and teaching methods to suit students’ abilities and developmental stages.
- Create and maintain a focused, well-organised classroom environment that encourages learning and reflects the maturity and interests of the students.
- Take accountability for students’ academic progress, ensuring they master the required content and meet expected standards.
- Infuse lessons with energy and genuine enthusiasm so that students develop a lasting interest in learning and a desire to excel.
- Model and promote the positive values, attitudes, and behaviours expected of staff within the Catholic school community.
- Build constructive, professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and respectful school culture.
- Follow school policies and frameworks, contributing actively to the realisation of the school’s vision and philosophy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A practicing Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- A degree in Education or a related teaching qualification.
- At least three years of teaching experience with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Flexibility and openness to change, with the ability to handle uncertainty and complexity in a dynamic school setting.
- Strong commitment to student development, academic standards, and the broader mission of the school.
