The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by securing new business and expanding existing client accounts. The role requires a proven performer with a strong track record in logistics sales, capable of consistently meeting and exceeding aggressive sales targets.
Role Accountabilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the transport and logistics sector.
- Drive sales through solution-based selling, tailored to client needs.
- Actively follow up on quotations and leads to ensure timely conversion to business.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through regular engagement.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with zero unresolved client issues.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Prepare accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.
- Uphold high service delivery standards in line with company policies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven sales experience within a Transport & Logistics company (mandatory).
- Demonstrated success in Business Development or Key Account Management roles.
- Must have an active and verifiable client portfolio within the logistics/transport sector.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage, influence, and close deals with decision-makers.
