Role Overview
You will be the driving force behind expanding our Publishing Services client base, working daily to identify new opportunities across government, non-profit, and private sectors. Your core focus is converting qualified leads into long-term partnerships by understanding client needs, crafting tailored proposals, and closing deals. Success in this role directly impacts our revenue growth and market reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively target and pursue new business opportunities with government agencies, NGOs, development partners, embassies, corporates, and private clients.
- Build and nurture lasting relationships with key decision-makers through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Generate a steady pipeline of qualified leads via cold outreach, market research, and professional events.
- Conduct virtual client meetings and presentations to understand their publishing needs and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed proposals and quotations, then follow through systematically to close the sale.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales pipeline and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and forecasts.
- Represent the organisation with professionalism, integrity, and a solution-oriented mindset in all interactions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (experience selling professional services is a strong plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for persuasive presentations and proposal writing.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and commercial awareness to identify and close profitable opportunities.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with solid organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
