Role Overview
You will spend your days visiting schools across Kenya to introduce and sell our educational technology platform, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Beyond acquiring new accounts, you will nurture existing customer relationships, collect feedback, and relay insights to the product and marketing teams to ensure schools get maximum value. Your work directly supports Zeraki’s goal of becoming the most widely adopted EdTech brand in Africa by driving both top-line growth and long-term customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and contact school decision‑makers (principals, academic heads, ICT coordinators) to schedule product demonstrations and generate leads.
- Conduct engaging on‑site and virtual demos of Zeraki’s tools, clearly articulating how they solve schools’ administrative and instructional challenges.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities from initial outreach through contract negotiation and sign‑up, consistently achieving monthly sales targets.
- Onboard new schools by guiding them through implementation, training staff, and ensuring a smooth transition onto the platform.
- Provide ongoing support to existing customers—answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and sharing best practices to boost platform usage and retention.
- Systematically gather feedback from schools on features, usability, and pain points, then document and escalate it to the product and leadership teams.
- Collaborate with the broader sales and customer success teams to refine sales scripts, demo flows, and post‑sale handover processes.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and progress in the CRM, tracking performance against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Genuine passion for education and a strong interest in how technology can transform learning outcomes in Africa.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with school administrators and teachers.
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented—you can work independently with minimal supervision and still hit your numbers.
- Resilience and grit: you bounce back quickly from rejection and see every “no” as a step closer to a “yes.”
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when necessary to meet school schedules or travel to remote locations.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment where priorities can shift day‑to‑day.
- No prior experience is required; we will train you on the product and sales process. However, any background in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus.
