Role Overview
This position sits within the Finance & Strategy function and is central to turning raw business data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers across the Bank. Day to day, you will analyse financial and operational performance, build dashboards and reports, translate business needs into structured requirements, and support the roll-out of strategic initiatives, process improvements, and system enhancements. Your work directly underpins the Bank’s 2026–2030 Strategic Plan by ensuring that branches, departments, and leadership have reliable data, realistic targets, and well-defined requirements to guide every major decision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver accurate management reports covering business, financial, branch, and staff performance, giving leadership the evidence they need to act confidently.
- Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards that track deposits, loans, income, customer acquisition, productivity, and other core branch performance indicators.
- Analyse the loan book on a weekly basis, assessing portfolio quality, PAR, NPL trends, collections, and loan migration to flag emerging credit risks and support collections strategies.
- Monitor sales pipelines and branch prospect activity, summarising trends and recommending actions to improve conversion and revenue performance.
- Support the annual budgeting cycle by preparing analyses, setting and cascading targets, and monitoring actual performance against approved budgets throughout the year.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, tariffs, product features, pricing, and customer behaviour, then translate these findings into practical commercial recommendations.
- Validate system-generated reports, reconcile trial balances and analytics outputs, and resolve data inconsistencies to ensure reporting integrity.
- Develop business intelligence models and trackers using Excel, Power BI, and similar tools, and participate in UAT, data validation, and solution reviews for new systems and process improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a recognised institution is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a financial institution, accounting firm, or comparable data-driven environment.
- A professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, CFA, CISA, CBAP, or PMI-PBA is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics, business intelligence, Power BI, Advanced Excel, SQL, or related analytical tools is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and anomalies, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with banking products, credit metrics, branch performance management, or strategic planning processes is a plus.
