Role Overview
This role is about making bancassurance work in practice: you will support the regional management of bank partner relationships so that the company hits its business growth, profitability, and customer service targets. Day to day, you will track sales performance, spot weak spots in the process, help roll out new sales initiatives, and keep a healthy flow of quotations, pipeline updates, and reports moving between internal teams and external bank partners. Your ability to keep partner teams aligned and motivated directly determines whether the distribution channel delivers on its revenue promises.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of the company’s insurance solutions through all existing and new bank partner channels, supporting both acquisition and repeat sales.
- Implement agreed sales plans and help launch new customer-focused initiatives for banca retail life products with selected partners.
- Monitor performance against set targets, identify gaps or anomalies in sales results, and propose concrete actions that improve channel performance.
- Support bank partners with activation plans and best-practice guidance that close known sales gaps and improve conversion.
- Provide accurate quotations to client-facing bank teams within the required turnaround time, making sure pricing and product details are correct.
- Protect business retention targets by managing renewals, resolving complaints quickly, and feeding sales activity insights back to the relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline that enables smooth onboarding of new customers while ensuring premium payments are collected according to internal controls.
- Prepare sales pitches, presentations, product write-ups, and agreed management reports within set deadlines, including monthly expense reports.
- Build and sustain working relationships with regional bank branch teams, business development officers, relationship managers, and the direct sales force.
- Ensure every sales activity and customer interaction remains compliant with insurance regulations and the company’s internal bancassurance procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline such as commerce, finance, marketing, or economics.
- A proven track record of meeting sales targets in the financial services industry, with strong preference for insurance or bancassurance experience.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders at various levels.
- Professional certification in insurance sales or marketing is considered a distinct advantage.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently while prioritising competing demands.
- A team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a commitment to shared goals.
- Working knowledge of insurance products, insurance regulatory requirements, and sales and marketing management practices.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales performance data and convert insights into practical action.
