Role Overview
This position is about building and steering a high-performing sales unit within the automotive sector, with direct accountability for moving vehicles from first customer contact through to final handover. You will balance hands-on selling with team leadership, stepping in on major deals while coaching representatives to consistently hit volume and revenue goals. Your work directly shapes the company’s market share in a defined territory, making you the bridge between showroom activity and broader regional strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day sales operations, setting clear targets for the team and monitoring progress against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Actively engage in the full sales cycle—cold calling, field visits, product presentations, pricing discussions, and closing—while supporting team members on complex negotiations.
- Develop and nurture relationships with major fleet and corporate clients, identifying new accounts and managing long-term retention.
- Structure multi-part deals that bundle vehicle purchases with trade-in valuations, financing options, and supplementary products or services.
- Generate accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence reports, keeping leadership informed on competitive activity, customer trends, and territory opportunities.
- Oversee post-sale administrative requirements, including KYC verification, credit documentation, invoicing, and delivery scheduling, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as service, parts, finance, and remarketing to resolve client concerns quickly and keep operations aligned.
- Deliver regular reports on call volumes, site visits, and pipeline health, while also organizing training sessions to sharpen the product knowledge of both staff and dealers.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns aimed at entering untapped markets and widening the company’s footprint across the assigned region.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- At least six years of cumulative experience within automotive sales and marketing, with demonstrable success in frontline selling.
- Prior experience leading or supervising sales teams, including mentoring representatives and driving collective target achievement.
- Strong grasp of commercial vehicle sales, including truck configurations, trade-in practices, financing structures, and ancillary revenue streams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, plus proven problem-solving skills when handling customer disputes or delivery issues.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate manual-transmission vehicles for test drives and client visits.
- Established industry network and familiarity with the local automotive market, including competitor positioning and customer expectations.
