Job Description

Role Overview

This internship places you at the front line of B2B growth, where you will spend your days identifying promising corporate prospects, initiating first conversations, and helping convert early interest into lasting commercial relationships. You’ll combine desk-based research with in-person market engagement, giving you a real feel for how business development works outside a textbook. Your contribution directly feeds the team’s pipeline, so the energy and persistence you bring will shape tangible outcomes for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business prospects by researching local industries, corporate targets, and emerging opportunities.
  • Draft and send professional introductory messages, then follow up by phone or in person to open conversations with key decision-makers.
  • Coordinate and schedule introductory meetings between prospective clients and senior team members.
  • Take part in field-based lead generation initiatives, including activations and Market Storms, while representing the brand confidently.
  • Maintain a clean, up-to-date record of every interaction, lead status, and next step so the team always knows what to prioritise.
  • Nurture early-stage relationships by checking in with prospects, addressing basic queries, and keeping opportunities warm between meetings.
  • Support the wider sales team with preparation, on-the-ground engagement, and follow-up actions that move deals forward.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A recent graduate or final-year student from an accredited university in Kenya.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate clearly across various corporate audiences.
  • Comfort in approaching strangers, starting conversations, and handling the occasional “no” with professionalism.
  • High energy and a proactive mindset, particularly when it comes to out-of-office market activities.
  • Genuine curiosity about sales, business development, and how corporates make purchasing decisions.
  • Self-discipline, resilience, and a willingness to learn rapidly from feedback and real-world rejection.

What We Offer / Why Join

  • Practical, hands-on exposure to the full B2B sales cycle, from prospecting to follow-up and closure.
  • Direct interaction with corporate clients and experienced sales professionals in real commercial settings.
  • A monthly stipend to support you throughout the duration of the internship.
