Position: Alcohol Sales Representative

Employment Nature: Full-time

Monthly Salary: Kshs. 45,000 – 50,000

Location: Kiambu

Market Mandate

We are seeking a seasoned and high-performing Alcohol Sales Representative to spearhead the growth of our product portfolio within the Kiambu region. This role is designed for a strategic field professional who understands the unique dynamics of the alcoholic beverage industry. Your primary objective will be to expand our footprint by onboarding new distributors, bars, and retail outlets while maximizing the visibility of our brands. This position requires a self-driven individual with deep local market knowledge and the negotiation prowess to secure premium placement in a competitive landscape.

Core Deliverables

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Proactively identify and onboard new accounts, including bars, restaurants, and wholesale distributors, to grow the customer base.

  • Present and pitch the company’s beverage portfolio, highlighting product quality and commercial benefits to potential partners.

  • Execute aggressive sales strategies designed to capture market share and surpass monthly KPIs.

  • Negotiate pricing structures, volume discounts, and promotional placements to drive "sell-through" at the retail level.

Territory & Distribution Management

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive field visit schedule to ensure consistent engagement with existing and prospective clients.

  • Monitor product availability across all outlets, ensuring our brands are always in stock and prominently displayed.

  • Track competitor activities, pricing shifts, and emerging market trends within Kiambu to provide actionable feedback to management.

  • Optimize the distribution network to ensure timely delivery and efficient service to all accounts.

Relationship & Account Management

  • Cultivate long-term, professional relationships with key stakeholders and outlet owners within the territory.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client concerns, providing swift resolution and maintaining high service standards.

  • Facilitate brand-building activities and in-outlet promotions to increase consumer demand.

  • Maintain meticulous records of sales interactions, lead conversions, and performance metrics for regular reporting.

Requirements & Competencies

Professional Profile

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in field sales, specifically within the Alcoholic Beverage or fast-moving FMCG sectors.

  • Mandatory: Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Local Knowledge: Extensive familiarity with the Kiambu market and surrounding environs is highly preferred.

Personal & Technical Skills

  • Negotiation: Mastery of persuasion and the ability to close complex commercial deals.

  • Autonomy: Highly self-motivated and capable of managing a large territory with minimal supervision.

  • Communication: Refined interpersonal skills for building rapport with a diverse range of clients.

  • Integrity: Uncompromising professional ethics and transparency in reporting sales data.
