Accounts Receivable Accountant

Role Overview

Based in JAFZA, Dubai, the Accounts Receivable Accountant will manage customer billing and payment follow-up for a logistics and 3PL warehousing business. The role keeps receivables records accurate, helps resolve billing issues, and gives the Finance team clear visibility of overdue accounts and collection progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices, checking billing details and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Post incoming customer payments and reconcile account balances and customer statements.
• Track overdue invoices, contact customers to arrange payment, and help resolve billing disputes.
• Produce daily collection updates and weekly or monthly receivables ageing reports.
• Work with Operations and Sales to clarify charges, respond to customer billing questions, and process credit notes as appropriate.
• Take part in month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
• Maintain complete, up-to-date records of customer accounts and receivables transactions.
• Visit customers for collections and account reviews for approximately one week each month.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Two to three years of experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections; UAE experience is preferred.
• Practical experience with Zoho Books and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT invoicing requirements.
• Understanding of receivables management, account reconciliations, collections, and ageing reports.
• Clear communication, consistent follow-up, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
