Description:
Be Bright is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant specializing in Statutory Accounting to join its team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial reporting requirements, with the ability to manage accounting operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will support financial closing activities, statutory reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance functions. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain statutory books of accounts in accordance with IFRS requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with statutory and external audit requirements.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit or Loss, and Trial Balance.
• Manage UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance activities, including FTA registration, return filing, reconciliations, and portal updates.
• Perform General Ledger (GL) reconciliations, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
• Prepare sales invoices according to UAE FTA regulations and ensure accurate accounting entries.
• Utilize ERP systems, Tally, and Microsoft Excel for accounting operations and reporting.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory accounting practices.
• Experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Proficiency in ERP software, Tally, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• IFRS-based financial reporting and statutory accounting.
• UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and FTA compliance procedures.
• General Ledger management, reconciliations, and accounting systems.
