Job Title: Coast Region Sales Manager
The Role
This is not a desk job. The Coast Region Sales Manager is on the ground, in the market, and in the room, leading Kenchic's commercial performance across one of our most dynamic territories. You will own sales, credit, customer relationships, and market growth from end to end. If you thrive on accountability, move fast, and know how to get the best out of a team, this is your kind of role.
What You Will Do
- Set the commercial direction – Build and drive the sales strategy for processed chicken in the region, turning forecasts into results through sharp execution.
- Open new ground – Identify untapped segments, break into them, and deepen Kenchic's footprint where we already play.
- Make data work – Lead weekly and quarterly reporting that drives decisions, not just fills inboxes.
- Collaborate and win – Connect the dots across the business – from production and finance to customer experience and marketing – your success depends on making the whole machine work together.
- Keep the money clean – Manage debtor days within agreed limits and own the discipline around credit and collections.
- Run a tight operation – Oversee trade coverage, distribution strategy, and demand planning by territory.
- Stay ahead of the market – Own intelligence on competitors, customers, and channel dynamics, and turn it into action.
- Hold the line – Enforce compliance with company policy, commercial agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Grow your people – Lead, coach, and build a team that performs consistently and develops over time.
Who You Are
You are not just a good salesperson – you are a commercial leader. You read markets, build trust fast, and don't need anyone looking over your shoulder to deliver.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of FMCG sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years managing a team.
- A proven track record leading high-performance sales teams and driving sustainable revenue growth.
- A valid driver's licence with 5+ years of experience in busy urban and peri-urban environments, as you will be in the field regularly and need to move independently across the region.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales force management tools is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of international food safety standards is a plus.
