Job Description
Summary
- Provide high-quality patient support while managing scheduling, records, and communication. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Kenya’s Data Protection Act, while delivering an excellent patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle patient inquiries (in-person, calls, email)
- Schedule appointments considering availability, restrictions, and optimization (incl. double-booking)
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR/EMR systems
- Verify patient eligibility and documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards
- Collaborate with clinical and admin teams
- De-escalate patient concerns professionally
Requirements
- Experience with medical scheduling and EHR/EMR systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA or data privacy standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and organization
- Conflict resolution and multitasking ability
