Role Overview

We are seeking a highly sophisticated, commercially aggressive Sales Representative to accelerate our market penetration within the beauty and cosmetics landscape. Your primary objective is to capture market share by actively prospecting, consulting, and closing commercial deals with premium salons, spas, wholesale distributors, and retail stockists. This position blends high-touch relationship management with hands-on technical product positioning; you will steer clients from initial product formulations and sampling sessions through to consistent bulk procurement contracts. The role demands an energetic industry expert who understands the evolving aesthetics market and can seamlessly convert premium product advantages into sustainable volume growth.

Areas of Accountability

Pipeline Acquisition & Revenue Growth

  • Systematically map, target, and convert new retail stockists, high-end beauty salons, wellness spas, and merchant accounts across Nairobi.

  • Deliver persuasive product presentations, expert ingredient consultations, and live application trials to educate beauty professionals and consumers.

  • Execute structured field sales strategies to consistently meet or surpass assigned individual monthly revenue quotas and portfolio benchmarks.

  • Maximize account yields by executing targeted cross-selling and upselling initiatives across our entire skincare, haircare, and cosmetic inventory.

Account Retention & Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and insulate deep, long-term partnerships with institutional salon owners, aesthetic practitioners, and buyers to foster high repeat orders.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer care, resolving product inquiries, stock challenges, and complaints with ultimate professional poise.

  • Maintain a highly organized client database, tracking localized purchasing patterns, stock rotation cycles, and volume preferences.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Reporting

  • Conduct ongoing field market research to monitor competitor product launches, changing retail price structures, and consumer trends.

  • Synthesize direct client feedback regarding formulation performance and market demands into structured updates for leadership review.

  • Draft and present meticulous weekly sales logs, transaction forecasts, and comprehensive territory health metrics.

Brand Visibility, Merchandising & Admin

  • Champion brand representation at local beauty expos, industry trade activations, and product launching campaigns to maximize market awareness.

  • Collaborate with internal marketing teams to orchestrate high-impact retail promotions, display upgrades, and seasonal sales strategies.

  • Supervise the end-to-end sales loop, processing purchase orders, delivery logistics, and commercial invoices accurately and promptly.

  • Enforce strict compliance with company sales ethics, standard pricing guidelines, and credit management policies.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

  • Academic Foundation: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a complementary commercial discipline.

  • Industry Track Record: Minimum of 5 years of progressive, proven field sales performance specializing in premium cosmetics, professional skincare, or haircare portfolios.

  • Product Acuity: Deep understanding of cosmetic formulations, skin/hair care applications, and shifting global beauty trends.

  • Core Competencies: Elite negotiation skills, courtroom-grade boardroom presentations, and a definitive track record of hitting volume quotas.
