Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary, highly structured Human Resource Manager to anchor our organizational architecture and champion our people strategy. Your primary objective is to lead the entire human resource department, transforming traditional personnel management into a dynamic engine that drives talent retention and business growth. This position bridges high-level organizational development with hands-on compliance management; you will guide our workforce from initial recruitment frameworks and onboarding paths through to thorough labor relations and change management schemes. The role calls for a mature, legally astute people leader who can act as a trusted advisor to executives while maintaining an engaging, productive workspace for all staff.

Areas of Accountability

Strategic Alignment & Talent Acquisition

  • Architect and implement comprehensive human resource strategies that directly match the long-term operational values and scaling goals of the business.

  • Supervise the end-to-end talent pipeline, directing high-impact recruitment processes, candidate screening, and structured corporate onboarding programs.

  • Support line management with organizational development campaigns, culture transformation, and proactive change management strategies.

Employee Relations & Industrial Compliance

  • Arbitrate employee grievances, direct disciplinary hearings, and resolve staff friction in a completely fair, objective, and legally sound manner.

  • Guarantee total corporate adherence to the Employment Act of Kenya, standard industrial relations guidelines, and emerging regulatory requirements.

  • Periodically audit, write, and deploy corporate HR policies, updated employee handbooks, and compliant employment contract agreements.

Performance Management & Staff Welfare

  • Oversee comprehensive performance appraisal systems, mapping individual key performance indicators (KPIs) against company output metrics.

  • Establish talent development courses, operational skills gap analyses, and strategic succession planning models across all departments.

  • Design and champion holistic staff welfare programs, team-building exercises, workplace engagement indices, and spiritual well-being initiatives.

Payroll Coordination & Analytics Reporting

  • Coordinate with the finance department to supervise monthly payroll data validation, salary structures, and mandatory statutory remittances.

  • Compile, analyze, and present detailed human resource metric dashboards covering staff turnover, recruitment costs, and appraisal trends for executive review.

  • Manage general office administration pipelines, labor board correspondences, and standard internal communications.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a complementary social science discipline from an accredited university.

  • Professional Longevity: Minimum of 5 years of progressive, hands-on human resource experience navigating fast-paced, commercially demanding corporate environments.

  • Legal Mastery: Thorough, up-to-date working knowledge of Kenyan labor statutes, industrial court precedents, and statutory deduction workflows.

  • Digital Toolkit: High proficiency with modern human resource information systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Workspace environments.

Leadership Capabilities

  • Stakeholder Influence: Advanced interpersonal and diplomacy skills, with a proven track record of advising executives and guiding employee cohorts across all tiers.

  • Analytical Resolution: Strong problem-solving acumen, with the ability to diagnose cultural bottlenecks and construct logical corporate solutions.

  • Execution Focus: Organized, highly structured, and capable of managing broad administrative timelines while remaining adaptable to immediate team needs.

  • Availability: Candidates who can transition into the role immediately or on short notice are highly encouraged to apply.

What is in Store for You

  • Strategic Influence: Take absolute ownership of a critical corporate division, directly molding the culture and operational rhythm of a growing team.

  • Complex Leadership: Refine your executive coaching, talent mapping, and legal compliance capabilities within a dynamic, multifaceted workplace.

  • Professional Visibility: Collaborate directly with senior business owners to turn operational problems into scalable, human-centered successes.
