The Media Council of Kenya in partnership with recognised media houses runs media industrial attachment programme which is geared towards providing journalism/media students with practical work experience before graduation and to prepare them for the job market. Duration of the Industrial Attachment The attachment lasts for a period of Three (3) Months May July 2024. The Council will provide a monthly stipend for the trainees upkeep. Eligibility Students pursuing degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital and Corporate Communication, students registered for attachment who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply. Placement Beneficiaries will be placed in recognised media outlets across the country under the following areas of specialisation; Print, Broadcast Radio/Television, Technical/ Production and Digital. Eligibility Requirements Final year students from a recognised university or college. 2. Recommendation letter from the university or college stating the period when the placement is required. Valid registration for Industrial attachment unit at College or University. Academic transcripts for the current academic year. Valid Student Identification Card. Valid MCK Student Press Card 2024. Sample of journalistic work done before, including online content school project etc.
