Workshop Supervisor

A leading company in the Marine and Shipyard industry is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join its operations in Musaffah ICAD 2, Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in workshop supervision, mechanical maintenance, fabrication, and repair within marine, offshore, or heavy industrial environments.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day workshop activities, lead technical teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support the timely completion of maintenance and fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate workshop maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation activities.

• Lead and monitor technicians, mechanics, fabricators, and subcontractors within the workshop.

• Ensure all work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

• Coordinate with engineers, HSE, QA/QC, and other departments to maintain smooth workshop operations.

• Monitor manpower, materials, tools, machinery, and equipment requirements.

• Conduct workshop inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues and implement effective solutions.

• Prepare daily workshop progress reports and communicate updates to management.

• Ensure proper housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and compliance with marine and shipyard procedures.

• Ensure all workshop activities comply with HSE requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor in a marine, shipyard, offshore, or heavy industrial environment.

• Strong knowledge of workshop operations, mechanical maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation.

• Ability to supervise teams and manage multiple workshop activities efficiently.

• Good communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of HSE and QA/QC requirements.

• UAE experience is preferred.
