Role Overview
This position owns the front end of the revenue engine: the people, processes, and metrics that turn cold outreach into qualified pipeline. You will lead a multi-layered sales development organization — representatives, team leaders, managers, and directors — setting the standard for how prospects are engaged and how opportunities are handed to closing teams. Success here directly shapes the company's growth trajectory, because every downstream revenue number depends on the quality and volume of pipeline your organization produces.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, coach, and develop sales development talent across every level, from frontline representatives through team leaders, managers, and directors.
- Design and put into practice outbound and sales development strategies that expand reach into target accounts and segments.
- Own pipeline creation targets, ensuring a steady flow of qualified opportunities into the sales organization.
- Define performance frameworks — KPIs, scorecards, review cadences, and individual development plans — and hold the organization accountable to them.
- Audit calls, meetings, conversion rates, opportunity quality, and pipeline outcomes to identify coaching moments and process gaps.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership to align messaging, handoffs, and priorities.
- Plan headcount and organizational structure to support growth, including hiring forecasts and team design.
- Continuously refine workflows, sequences, campaigns, and tooling to raise productivity across the development organization.
- Foster a team culture built on accountability, peer collaboration, and steady improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 5 years in sales development, business development, revenue operations, or B2B sales leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading SDR or BDR teams, including direct management of team leaders, managers, directors, or comparable sales leaders.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Salesforce experience.
- Solid grounding in outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, KPI design, and conversion analytics.
- Comfort working across CRM platforms, sales engagement software, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions.
- Polished executive communication, leadership presence, and presentation ability.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2).
- Ability to work on-site in Colombia or Kenya.
Preferred Background
- 4 or more years in a managerial capacity.
- Track record leading or scaling large, multi-layered sales development organizations.
- Experience in SaaS, technology, PEO, HCM, or business services environments.
- Familiarity with workforce planning, headcount management, and leadership development programs.
