Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of Salesforce development and platform administration, owning both the custom code that extends the system and the configuration that keeps it usable day to day. You will write Apex and Lightning Web Components, shape the data model, and govern who can see and change what — all while connecting Salesforce to the wider business toolchain. It matters because every trigger, permission set, and integration you build determines whether the teams relying on Salesforce can trust the data in front of them.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain Apex classes and triggers that handle bulk data volumes safely and respect platform governor limits.
• Build and support Lightning Web Components for internal users working in Lightning Experience, including any supporting Aura components.
• Configure and maintain page layouts, record types, custom objects and fields, validation rules, and related declarative setup to match evolving business processes.
• Administer users, profiles, permission sets, and object-level permissions to enforce a least-privilege data security model and keep sensitive records properly restricted.
• Design, build, test, and deploy integrations between Salesforce and external applications using APIs, middleware, or platform events, including end-to-end testing of those connections.
• Refactor and migrate legacy automation — Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and older approval logic — into Flow, Apex, or other maintainable patterns.
• Write unit tests that meet platform coverage standards and move changes through sandboxes, version control, and structured deployment processes.
• Diagnose production issues, monitor platform performance, and translate business requirements into technical designs alongside stakeholders and admins.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined Salesforce development and administration experience.
• At least one current, active Salesforce certification: Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I, Administrator, or Platform App Builder.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Apex Classes, Apex Triggers, and Lightning Web Components in a production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage page layouts, user permissions, object permissions, and data security configuration.
• Proven experience building, testing, and deploying Salesforce integrations with external systems.
• Working familiarity with sandbox strategy, version control, and repeatable release/deployment practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience refactoring legacy Salesforce automation such as Workflow Rules and Process Builder.
• Experience supporting large Salesforce environments serving 300+ users.
