Role Overview

This role focuses on delivering practical, competency-based training to students within a technical and vocational education setting. The selected candidate will prepare learners for industry demands through structured lessons, hands-on practice, and continuous assessment. The trainer's work directly supports the institution's mission of producing skilled, job-ready graduates.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning materials aligned with the approved curriculum.
• Deliver engaging theoretical and practical training sessions that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress through assignments, practical demonstrations, and examinations, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain training tools, equipment, and workshop spaces in safe, functional condition.
• Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure students follow proper procedures during practical exercises.
• Provide academic and career guidance to support student motivation and successful program completion.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, marks, and student achievements for institutional reporting.
• Collaborate with fellow trainers to improve course content and instructional delivery methods.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Higher National Diploma or Degree in a relevant technical, vocational, or education field.
• Compulsory TVETA Trainers License from the relevant regulatory authority.
• Solid understanding of competency-based education, assessment techniques, and curriculum implementation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage learners effectively in both classroom and workshop environments.
• Organizational skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and scheduling.
