Job Description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for executing trade marketing strategies across assigned territories within the Home and Personal Care sector. Day to day, you will work directly with distributors and retail partners to drive in-store visibility, plan brand activations, and ensure consistent execution at the shelf. Your efforts directly influence sell-out performance and market share growth for the company's portfolio of HPC brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement trade activation plans and visibility programmes across multiple retail channels, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Manage distributor relationships to optimise inventory levels, order fulfilment, and route-to-market efficiency in your territory.
  • Conduct regular field visits to audit merchandising standards, identify execution gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyse sales data and market intelligence to track sell-out performance, category trends, and competitive activity.
  • Coordinate with internal sales and marketing teams to adapt national campaigns for local market conditions and customer profiles.
  • Plan and execute promotional calendars, including pricing strategies, display placements, and trade terms negotiations.
  • Monitor and report on key execution metrics such as distribution coverage, share of shelf, and return on trade investment.
  • Train and coach distributor sales teams on product knowledge, selling techniques, and brand standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Commerce, or a directly related field. A postgraduate qualification in Sales & Marketing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in Trade Marketing, Channel Development, or Field Sales exclusively within the Home & Personal Care (HPC) industry. Candidates from food, beverage, or edible oil backgrounds will not be considered.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in at least one HPC category – Personal Care, Home Care, Hygiene, Beauty Care, Tissue, Detergents, Skin Care, Hair Care, or Oral Care.
  • Trade Execution Skills: Proven track record in distributor management, trade activations, merchandising programmes, and in-store visibility initiatives.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfortable using sales reporting tools to derive actionable insights from trade data.
  • Commercial Acumen: Solid negotiation skills and the ability to balance brand objectives with retailer and distributor needs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working independently across multiple field locations while coordinating with internal cross-functional teams.

What We Offer / Why Join

This role offers the opportunity to lead market execution for an established HPC portfolio with a strong retail presence. You will gain ownership of territory-level trade strategies and have direct influence on brand performance in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.
