Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Technical Sales Executive to drive business growth by promoting advanced water engineering products and industrial infrastructure solutions. Your primary objective is to expand our commercial footprint within the construction, municipal, and agricultural sectors by identifying project opportunities, interpreting engineering blueprints, and converting leads into closed sales. This position bridges advanced fluid mechanics with commercial business development; you will manage the complete sales lifecycle from initial site assessments and technical pump or piping calculations through to formal tender drafting and contract closure. The role demands a self-driven professional who can build trusted advisory relationships with consulting engineers, project developers, and civil contractors while consistently meeting volume metrics.

Role Overview

Business Development & Pipeline Progression

  • Identify and pursue high-value commercial accounts, project developments, and infrastructure expansions within the water engineering and civil construction sectors.
  • Promote and sell the company's full suite of water engineering products, pumping equipment, fluid transport systems, and water treatment designs.
  • Review local market intelligence, track public/private infrastructural projects, and actively monitor competitor positioning to capture emerging revenue channels.
  • Generate and present exact sales forecasts, pipeline stage evaluations, and structural market analysis charts to executive leadership teams.
  • Meet or exceed all monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume targets and distribution metrics.

Technical Assessment & Solution Design

  • Conduct structural field visits and diagnostic site inspections to evaluate client flow rates, pressure demands, and system layout constraints.
  • Translate customer mechanical requirements into tailored, optimal water engineering setups, advising on product compatibilities and system designs.
  • Design, calculate, and compile comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, cost quotations, and official tender bid documents.
  • Deliver persuasive technical presentations, live equipment demonstrations, and basic engineering training sessions to client stakeholder boards.

Relationship Management & Contract Closure

  • Establish, cultivate, and insulate long-term strategic relationships with key consulting engineers, MEP contractors, real estate developers, and municipal planners.
  • Direct complex commercial contract negotiations, defining pricing strategies, delivery timelines, and service level pathways to close profitable sales.
  • Interface closely with internal structural engineers and field operations teams to guarantee seamless product handovers and timely project implementations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical client queries, ensuring maximum project satisfaction and securing recurring account orders.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Industry Longevity: Minimum of 3 years of progressive, verified experience in technical sales, specifically working with water engineering systems, commercial pumps, piping networks, irrigation setups, boreholes, or complex water treatment systems.
  • Tender Proficiency: Demonstrated experience reviewing engineering specifications and drafting comprehensive technical proposals and formal commercial tender documents.
  • Industry Availability: Candidates who are available to onboard immediately are highly preferred.
