Systems Engineer- End User Services (L1)

Role Overview

As an L1 Systems Engineer in End User Services, you will build hands-on experience supporting workplace technology deployments and resolving straightforward technical issues. Working alongside implementation and senior support engineers, you will take on increasing responsibility for installations, configurations, and incident handling while developing the technical and project knowledge needed to progress in the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete routine configurations and installations for end-user computing environments.
• Investigate and resolve lower-complexity break/fix incidents during project delivery.
• Gradually take ownership of defined tasks within installations, incident resolution, and problem management.
• Work with the Implementation Engineering team to deliver solutions that meet client requirements.
• Seek guidance from Senior Associate/L2 engineers and other senior support staff when issues require escalation.
• Follow relevant technical design and project administration processes while carrying out assigned work.
• Take on other related duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in technical implementation engineering, with a focus on End-User Computing.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification, in Information Technology, Computing, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of relevant Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Office 365, Exchange and Exchange Online, SCCM, Intune, Teams, Azure, Windows Server, and Windows desktop environments.
• Basic understanding of technical design principles and willingness to learn project and administrative processes.
• Strong learning orientation, proactive hands-on approach, clear verbal communication, and a client-service mindset.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications or training are beneficial, including Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server administration, messaging administration, modern desktop administration, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), or Server 2016 certification.
