Role Overview
Lead the technology function supporting a manufacturing business, ensuring that IT services, infrastructure and systems keep day-to-day operations running reliably. You will set technology priorities in line with business needs while protecting company data and enabling effective production and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and put into practice IT plans that support business objectives and manufacturing operations.
- Direct daily IT service delivery, systems administration and infrastructure maintenance.
- Maintain appropriate safeguards for networks and data, and prepare for service disruptions to support business continuity.
- Plan and oversee technology projects, including system deployments and improvements.
- Manage IT budgets and coordinate relationships with technology suppliers.
- Guide and support IT team members, setting priorities and helping resolve technical challenges.
- Monitor the performance and reliability of IT services and address issues affecting business operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience in IT management; experience in FMCG manufacturing is preferred, particularly in wheat flour, maize flour or animal feed production.
- Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or comparable systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT projects, suppliers and system implementations.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
