Role Overview
In this role, you will keep the organization’s computers, software and data communication systems operational by resolving technical issues, installing and configuring applications, and maintaining equipment records. You will also support ICT training activities and help students gain practical experience, while ensuring staff requests and equipment needs are handled in an organized way.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair computer hardware and software faults, including compatibility problems.
- Maintain computing and data communication systems, and install, configure and update software, including antivirus tools.
- Install and configure the ERP system and create user accounts in the domain environment.
- Record, monitor and follow up on user support tickets through to resolution.
- Prepare condition reports for ICT equipment and maintain an accurate inventory.
- Coordinate procurement requests for required ICT equipment and distribute items once acquired.
- Provide practical ICT support to trainers and computer technologists, and guide students during practical attachments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Additional professional qualifications are an advantage.
