Job Description

Our client, a rapidly expanding Tier II supermarket chain, is looking for an experienced, results-oriented Branch Manager to handle daily operations across several branches. This key role involves ensuring smooth store functions, boosting sales, managing staff performance, overseeing inventory, and delivering top-notch customer service, all while adhering to company policies and industry standards. The position is based in Kitengela and offers a chance to take on a vital leadership role in the retail operations of a dynamic business.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Retail Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Manager, Supervisor, or Procurement Officer in a busy supermarket or retail environment
  • Strong understanding of supermarket operations and FMCG products
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, MS Excel, reporting tools)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficient, smooth, and profitable running
  • Drive sales growth and achieve branch targets through analysis of sales reports and customer trends
  • Oversee stock ordering, receiving, storage, and replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate branch staff, conducting performance reviews as needed
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and professionally resolve escalated customer issues
  • Monitor daily sales, expenses, and petty cash usage, preparing accurate operational reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety, and statutory regulations
  • Implement promotions, pricing strategies, and in-store marketing initiatives
