Job Description

Role Overview

This position leads the continuous improvement of an Oracle Fusion HCM platform that underpins HR operations across a global, matrixed organisation. You will work day to day with product owners, HR specialists, and IT teams to turn business priorities into well-scoped technical changes, while also keeping an eye on the long-term architecture and integration landscape. Your work directly determines how smoothly people data, HR processes, and adjacent enterprise systems work together, and it shapes how effectively colleagues adopt and benefit from new HR capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-develop and prioritise a forward-looking Fusion HCM enhancement roadmap with the Product Owner, sequencing improvements that best serve business goals and minimise technical complexity.
  • Review every proposed configuration, integration, and process change to confirm it supports HR needs and does not degrade the stability, performance, or maintainability of the live platform.
  • Act as a liaison between HR and finance system teams, assessing cross-system impacts so that changes made for the finance solution do not create extra burden or inefficiency on the HR side.
  • Translate Oracle Fusion product knowledge into practical guidance for internal stakeholders, helping HR and IT colleagues understand emerging capabilities and apply them effectively.
  • Stand up and lead a Centre of Excellence that unites existing HR, IT, and vendor teams, with a clear operating model, governance framework, and continuous improvement plan.
  • Define success metrics for roadmap initiatives, track whether promised benefits are achieved, and keep the focus on improving the overall HR and employee experience.
  • Guide member organisations through local feasibility studies, configuration, and rollout, building strong relationships with HR and people teams to encourage adoption and shared ownership.
  • Provide strategic advice to IT leadership on architecture, governance, support, and administration, ensuring business and IT objectives stay aligned across all regions and member operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Substantial hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM, covering configuration, integrations, and current Fusion capabilities, gained through implementing and running the product inside an HR environment.
  • A genuine HR or people operations background, combined with a proven record of delivering Oracle HCM as part of large-scale transformation programmes in complex global organisations.
  • Strong expertise in designing solution architectures, managing system interfaces, and leading enhancement roadmaps for a live enterprise platform, especially between HCM and other core systems.
  • Demonstrable experience defining and measuring benefits realisation, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reducing estate complexity.
  • Practical experience building and operating an in-house support capability or Centre of Excellence for an enterprise solution, including collaboration with internal IT and external software vendors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills in matrixed, multicultural environments, with the ability to manage cross-system dependencies and build consensus across HR, finance, IT, and member organisations.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills, enabling you to guide senior stakeholders through change and help colleagues grow their own Oracle Fusion knowledge.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication in English, with the confidence to present to all levels and facilitate conversations across different countries and cultures.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, supported by Oracle Cloud certification or substantial comparable implementation experience; an HR qualification or enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF is desirable.
  • Experience in international development or non-profit contexts, and working proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic, are additional advantages.
