Role Overview
This is a hands-on supervisory position within a Nairobi-based real estate development firm, where you will be responsible for turning the sales team’s daily effort into measurable revenue. You will split your time between the office and the field: coaching individual agents, leading site visits for serious buyers, reviewing pipeline data in the CRM, and stepping in to close complex deals that require a more experienced negotiator. Your success matters directly to the company because a motivated, well-managed sales force is what converts property listings into signed agreements and keeps the business ahead of competitors in Nairobi’s residential and commercial segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily schedule and field assignments of property sales executives, ensuring every team member has clear priorities and the resources needed to meet their targets.
- Monitor individual and team performance against quarterly sales quotas, then run focused coaching sessions to improve conversion rates and shorten the average sales cycle.
- Lead weekly pipeline review meetings where each deal is examined, obstacles are identified, and next-step action plans are agreed upon with the salesperson responsible.
- Develop tactical sales campaigns tailored to current market conditions, such as targeted buyer outreach, open-house events, or promotional offers for specific property units.
- Build and maintain a robust database of qualified buyers through proactive prospecting, referrals, and follow-up on inbound inquiries from the company’s digital channels.
- Conduct property presentations and site visits for prospective clients, handling questions about pricing, payment plans, title documents, and neighborhood amenities with confidence.
- Take ownership of client negotiations from offer to closing, coordinating with legal and administrative teams to ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Track and report sales forecasts, lead statuses, and revenue projections to the Head of Sales, while also monitoring competitor activity and shifting land values across Nairobi’s key districts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of active experience in real estate property sales, with a minimum of 1 year spent supervising or leading a sales team.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate, Insurance, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven personal track record of consistently meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets, both as an individual closer and as a team leader.
- Familiarity with selling residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and modern CRM software for pipeline management and reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, public speaking, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to command a room during client presentations.
- A valid driving license is considered a significant advantage, as site visits and client meetings may require travel across Nairobi.
