Job Description

Role Overview

This field-based role keeps MICASSO’s dealer network in the Mombasa region running smoothly, productive, and visibly aligned with the brand. Day to day, you will be on the road visiting dealer outlets, checking how products are displayed, following up on stock orders and deliveries, and working directly with dealer owners and staff to remove obstacles that limit sales. Your work directly protects MICASSO’s retail presence, helps dealers meet their targets, and feeds reliable market insight back to the wider sales and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with a defined portfolio of MICASSO dealers through regular, planned visits across Mombasa and surrounding areas.
  • Understand each dealer’s customer base, stock levels, and sales performance, then recommend practical actions to improve sell-out, expand product range, and raise MICASSO’s share within the outlet.
  • Monitor dealer orders from placement to final delivery, resolving delays, stock shortages, and documentation issues by coordinating with sales, warehouse, logistics, and customer care teams.
  • Audit in-store and showroom presentation, ensuring product samples are clean and correctly positioned, price tags are accurate, promotional materials are current, and branding matches MICASSO standards.
  • Track competitor activity across the region, including pricing, promotions, new launches, and display tactics, and report findings that could affect MICASSO’s market position.
  • Support dealers with day-to-day operational issues such as damaged products, missing displays, invoice queries, and account follow-ups, keeping ownership until each issue is closed.
  • Assist with store openings, renovations, relocations, product launches, dealer meetings, and special sales campaigns, documenting completed activities with written and photographic evidence.
  • Maintain accurate field records, dealer visit logs, sales tracking data, and market observations in the approved company system to support management decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; additional training in sales, channel management, customer relationships, or merchandising is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in dealer or channel sales, field sales, territory management, or building-material sales; experience with tiles, ceramics, sanitaryware, construction materials, or interior products is a strong plus.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage confidently with dealer owners, managers, and retail sales teams.
  • Ability to plan and execute frequent daily field visits across Mombasa and surrounding areas, managing multiple accounts and priorities independently.
  • Good commercial awareness, numerical skills for tracking sales and stock, and the ability to spot slow-moving products or missed sales opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the discipline to follow up on issues until fully resolved.
  • Residency in Mombasa or willingness to relocate; a valid Kenyan driving licence is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with strong communication skills, sales potential, and a clear willingness to work in the field may also be considered.
