Role Overview
This position is centered on growing revenue within a defined territory by nurturing lasting relationships with pharmacy teams and other healthcare providers. Day to day, you will be the face of the product portfolio, using your clinical and commercial knowledge to secure shelf space, drive demand, and turn every pharmacy visit into a meaningful sales conversation. Your work directly impacts the company's market share and long-term partnerships across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory plan that prioritises high-potential accounts and identifies untapped opportunities for product placement and repeat sales.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to pharmacies and retail healthcare outlets, presenting product information, handling objections, and negotiating order quantities.
- Track product performance against sales targets, competitor activity, and market trends, then adjust tactics to stay ahead of shifting demand.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to launch new products and promotional campaigns, ensuring every launch has clear visibility and strong adoption within your territory.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of healthcare professionals and institutions, expanding the network of prescribers and stockists on a consistent basis.
- Collect field intelligence on pricing, stock levels, and customer preferences, and feed these insights back into the wider business strategy.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and quality guidelines exactly, keeping documentation and reporting accurate and timely.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure supply meets demand, resolving any stock or availability issues before they impact customer trust.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma in pharmacy, life sciences, sales, marketing, or a closely related discipline; a bachelor's degree is a significant advantage.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, with a proven record of managing territories and hitting sales targets.
- Solid understanding of how healthcare institutions and pharmacies operate, including the decision-making chains that influence product choice.
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with sales data to spot performance gaps and turning those insights into practical territory-level actions.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect with pharmacists, physicians, and retail buyers at different levels.
- Self-disciplined and organised, capable of planning your own schedule, prioritising accounts, and working independently in the field.
