Role Overview
You will be the commercial engine of a Kenya-based asset financing operation, matching customers with the right vehicles and three-wheelers while guiding them through a straightforward loan approval journey. Your days will be split between showroom-facing sales conversations, preparing loan files, and chasing branch-level targets that directly fuel the company's growth in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Present and sell the complete inventory of new and used cars, motorcycles, and three-wheelers to walk-in and referred customers.
- Walk prospects through the financing process end-to-end: explaining product options, collecting required documents, and supporting loan issuance until disbursement.
- Prepare every sale for compliance by ensuring all paperwork is accurate, complete, and aligned with MOGO's process standards.
- Follow up relentlessly with leads and pending customers, converting initial interest into closed deals without losing momentum.
- Carry out administrative tasks as needed, including physical vehicle inspections and updating price lists or stock records.
- Own the branch's monthly sales target and actively pursue all available channels to hit or exceed it.
- Step into other duties when the team needs an extra hand, keeping operations smooth and responsive to demand.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in business, commerce, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of hands-on sales experience, ideally in asset financing, automotive, or microfinance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Solid command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for daily reporting and proposal preparation.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, especially when loans need creative but compliant solutions.
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision, adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
- Excellent organisational habits, with the discipline to manage multiple customer files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven integrity, loyalty, and leadership potential, with a resourceful, proactive attitude when facing obstacles.
